Recruiting
Recruiting is a part of human resources management. Recruiting is primarily concerned with covering personnel requirements. The main task is therefore to supply the company with high-quality employees in line with demand and at a reasonable price.
5 phases of recruiting
Recruiting usually consists of 5 phases:
- Analyze requirements profile & job advertisement
- Search for candidates
- Applicant selection
- Job offer & recruitment
- Integration of the new employee
Recruitment does not always have to mean bringing in a completely new employee. There can also be job advertisements within the company. In this way, new positions can be filled internally at low cost and, above all, quickly.
Recruitment channels
There are also various channels that are useful for recruiting personnel. These include the following:
- own career page
- Job exchanges
- Social Media
- Career fairs
- Employees recruit employees
Recruiting methods at a glance
A fundamental distinction can be made between internal and external recruitment. Recruitment measures are also aligned accordingly.
Internal recruitment measures are
- Internal job advertisements: This can be done via the company intranet, an internal newsletter or the company magazine, for example. The aim here is to fill the advertised position with a suitable colleague or via an employee recommendation.
- Transfers: Employees have the opportunity to be transferred to another position in the company if they are suitably qualified.
- Personnel development: Thanks to suitable development and further training measures, it is ensured in the long term that the right employees will also fill other suitable positions in the future.
External recruitment measures
In the external procurement of personnel, a distinction is made between passive and active. Based on this distinction, differentiated measures can also be derived.
Passive recruiting
- Process unsolicited applications from candidates
- Build and maintain talent pool
- Strengthen employerbranding
Active recruiting
- Place job advertisements
- Social recruiting
- Recruiting events
