Job rotation
Job rotation, also known as job rotation, is a workplace design measure. This involves team colleagues swapping or changing their workplace.

Make sure that you define the intervals at which the change is to take place in advance. Not only the workplace is changed, but also the associated tasks.
Advantages of job rotation
The advantages of job rotation are:
- less monotony
- Less one-sided load
- Qualification in different areas
This method is also used in the training of trainees and junior staff.
What is the benefit of this?
Changing jobs regularly can have a number of advantages, as described above. These include deepening your specialist knowledge and gaining new experience. The reduced monotony is also hugely beneficial.
Managers can also benefit from this model. They can gradually acquire the new skills they need.
In addition, qualifications can be expanded and the understanding of other areas of work is significantly deepened.
What models are available?
There are basically 2 different models. These are called job enlargement and job enrichment.
Disadvantages

- There is no routine with a high rotation rate
- Planning and implementation require a great deal of effort
- Experienced employees have little acceptance for this
- It is rarely used in practice
