Team-Workation
Workation is a term made up of the English words for work and vacation. A workation is a form of working vacation or vacation with a work component and is primarily suitable for digital or remote work.
In the past, the majority of these were extensions or extensions of employees’ private leave – with the concession to the employer that they could also carry out their work tasks or certain parts of them from their vacation location.
In the course of digital work (laptop workstations) and the emergence of “digital nomads”, a form has been established in which working time and relaxation time merge in places far removed from the traditional workplace.
This form of teleworking received an additional boost with the coronavirus pandemic and the need to be able to work from home from the home office, from quarantine or from other locations.
In contrast to the home office and classic remote work, the quality of the location as a vacation spot and the link between working time and recovery time there should be noted.
Special form of teamwork?
Simply put, a team workation is a workation that is carried out as a team. Here, a working vacation stay is planned and carried out together as a team beyond personal vacation times. The focus is on using the event as a team-building measure and the opportunity to focus on internal/strategic topics beyond everyday work and the usual working environment.
