Qualification

The term “qualification” refers to all measures for the qualification of employees.

This is not just about acquiring, but also about improving employees’ professional qualifications.

Aim of the qualification

The aim of this is to improve opportunities on the job market and to give people the chance to advance in their current profession.

If you are no longer able to carry out your previous job in the way you are used to, various vocational training measures are also possible. The aim is to teach you the skills and abilities that will enable you to carry out a situation-dependent professional activity.

Measures

We list some interesting qualification measures here:

• Adaptation training: Adaptation to the constant development of the labor market.
• Post-qualification: further vocational training for a qualification or aptitude test.
• Supplementary qualification: So-called bridging measures are intended to promote integration into the labor market.
• Advanced training: designed to advance your career.
• Retraining: They end with a recognized qualification and require the completion of vocational training.

The qualification measures are not regulated by law. However, there are numerous private operators of course programs. The courses are not subject to any independent quality control, except possibly by a financial institution.

There are also other measures that are offered by the Chamber of Crafts or the Chambers of Industry and Commerce. These chambers have the right to examine vocational training and are also qualified to ensure the quality of such courses.

However, the certificates issued are not protected by law.
