Electronic signature

With electronic signatures, technical and legal mechanisms work together to ensure secure authentication and proof of consent. An electronic signature is therefore a legally binding method of requesting a declaration of consent to a digital form.

Electronic signatures are legally binding: this was established in the EU in July 2016 with the eIDAS Regulation.
