Company pension scheme
The company pension scheme is a collective term for certain financial benefits that an employer promises an employee. These financial benefits include
- Pension provision
- Provision for surviving dependants in the event of death
- Disability benefits in the event of incapacity to work or occupational disability.
There is a three-pillar model, with occupational pensions forming the second pillar alongside statutory pension systems such as statutory pension insurance and private pensions such as the Riester or Rürup pension or life insurance.
