Certificate of employment
Even after termination, the employer still has a few obligations towards the employee. For example, the employer must complete and provide the employment certificate for the former employee even after the employment relationship has ended.
A certificate of employment is required precisely when a former employee applies for unemployment benefit after termination of employment. This is a form and the data provided then determines whether and, above all, how much unemployment benefit the employee is entitled to.
The following information is requested in the certificate of employment:
- Information about the employer and company
- Personal data of the former employee
- Type of employment contract and scope of activity
- Duration of the employment relationship
- Social insurance
- Remuneration paid, special payments such as severance pay and other remuneration
- Reason for termination or termination of the employment relationship
- Notice periods
